When you open Plotr for the first time, you'll be guided through a quick onboarding flow. You'll pick your platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram) and create your first post. From there, tap any card on the Board to start filling in details — title, content pillar, format, and due date.
What are the five stages on the board?
Each post moves through five production stages:
Idea — the spark. Captured, not yet planned. Script — you're writing or outlining the content. Filming — you're in front of the camera. Editing — you're cutting and polishing. Done — posted and dusted.
Tap "Move to [next stage]" inside any post to advance it.
Can I assign a post to multiple platforms?
Yes! Open a post, scroll to the Platforms section, and tap as many platform chips as you need. You can select YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram simultaneously. The production checklist will automatically merge and deduplicate tasks from all selected platforms. At least one platform must always remain selected.
How does the production checklist work?
Each platform has a built-in production checklist tailored to that format. When you select one or more platforms, Plotr automatically generates a merged checklist with no duplicates. Tap any item to check it off. The progress counter in the top right updates as you complete tasks.
How do I attach footage to a post?
The Footage section appears automatically when a post is in the Script, Filming, or Editing stages. Tap the Add button to open your Photos library and select a video clip. You can attach multiple clips to a single post. Each clip shows the filename and the stage it was attached during. Tap the ✕ to remove a clip.
What is the Idea Vault?
The Ideas tab shows every post that hasn't been scheduled yet — your running bank of content ideas. Use the search bar at the top to filter by title, platform, or content pillar. Tap any idea to open it and start fleshing it out.
How does the content calendar work?
The Calendar tab shows a week-at-a-glance view of every post with a due date. Use the < and > arrows to navigate between weeks. Colour-coded dots represent each platform so you can see your content mix at a glance. Tap any post row to open it directly.
Is my data backed up?
Plotr stores all your data locally on your device using SwiftData. Your data is included in your regular iPhone backup via iCloud Backup or iTunes. We recommend keeping iCloud Backup enabled so your posts and ideas are always safe.
Can I undo a deleted post?
Unfortunately, deleted posts cannot be recovered within the app. A confirmation prompt appears before any deletion to prevent accidental loss. We recommend using iCloud Backup so you can restore your device if needed.
Is Plotr free to use?
Plotr is free to download with a 7-day Pro trial included. After the trial, you can continue on the free tier (up to 5 posts) or subscribe to Plotr Pro starting at $4.99/month or $39.99/year. Manage or cancel your subscription anytime from your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Try attaching a shorter clip first to rule out file size issues
