Simple, fair terms

Overview

The short version

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Plotr iOS application ("the App") operated by Plotr ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Section 1

Using Plotr

Plotr grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for your personal, non-commercial content planning purposes.

You agree not to:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any part of it
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
• Use the App for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its infrastructure
• Resell or sublicense access to the App

Section 2

Your content

All content you create within Plotr — posts, ideas, scripts, checklists, and footage attachments — belongs entirely to you. We do not claim any ownership, licence, or rights over your content.

Since all data is stored locally on your device, we have no access to your content at any time. You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your content via iCloud Backup or other means.

Section 3

Free trial & subscriptions

Plotr offers a 7-day free trial of Plotr Pro for new users. At the end of the trial period, your subscription will automatically renew at the selected plan price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the trial.

Plotr Pro is available on two plans:

• Monthly — billed monthly, cancel anytime
• Annual — billed once per year at a discounted rate

Subscriptions are managed by Apple and charged to your Apple ID. To cancel, go to your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Plotr. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods.

Prices are in USD and may vary by region based on Apple's pricing tiers.

Section 4

Free tier limits

Users on the free tier (after trial expiry) are limited to a maximum of 5 posts. Posts created during the trial period will remain visible but locked for editing until a Pro subscription is active.

We reserve the right to adjust free tier limits at any time with reasonable notice.

Section 5

Intellectual property

The Plotr app, including its design, code, branding, icons, and all associated materials, is owned by Plotr and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

The Plotr name, logo, and associated marks may not be used without our prior written permission.

Section 6

Disclaimer of warranties

Plotr is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs or viruses.

We are not responsible for any loss of data. We strongly recommend keeping iCloud Backup enabled to protect your content.

Section 7

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plotr shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Section 8

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify users through the App Store update notes where appropriate.

Continued use of Plotr after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
